Help for locals by locals: Nepal earthquake appeal for donations
You have seen and heard on the news about the earthquake in Nepal.
For anyone who would like to help victims but is still hesitating if and how to make donations,
please consider the following two suggestions from colleagues.
Amicale has also suggested to put up a donations box for the projects at the entrance to the
Summer Party.
In these two projects, NASO help for villages and Dhulikhel hospital,
1) contributions go 100% to earthquake victims in rural regions
2) you know in detail what the donations are used for
3) this is help for locals by locals, who know the region and villages well
4) the people managing donations are known personally by colleagues as trustworthy
5) donations as well as relief goods and medical supplies take the shortest way, bypassing
governmental bottlenecks
a) NASO help for villages
Suresh Bhattarai and his amateur astronomer friends from Nepal Astronomical Society have
sought out villages that are not yet on the Red Cross lists for relief. They have already begun to
distribute relief goods in rural areas to villages that they know well from their astronomical
outreach activities (that is village schools education projects) in which we have also participated
during our stay in Nepal. See

Ich habe guten und persönlichen Kontakt zu einer Hilfsorganisation, der ich voll vertraue, was die Verwendung
von Spendengeldern angeht . Meine Frau hat in diesem Krankenhaus
www.dhulikhelhospital.org
ein Jahr lang gearbeitet und life erlebt, wie hier Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe erfolgreich umgesetzt wird.
Das Krankenhaus liegt ca. 60km östlich von Kathmandu, wurde vom Erdbeben weitgehend verschont, und steht
jetzt einem großen Ansturm Hilfsbedürftiger gegenüber.
Eine Hilfsorganisation, die dieses Krankenhaus unterstützt und sich um Außenstationen in den Bergen ohne
Straßenanbindung kümmert, ist

mit Sitz hier in Gilching im Westen von München. Die meisten Stiftungsmitglieder und einige der nepalesischen
Partner kenne ich selbst. Sie arbeiten mit hohem persönlichen Einsatz, minimalem Verwaltungsaufwand und vor
allem eng mit Einheimischen zusammen. Da sind meines Erachtens Spenden in wirklich guten Händen.
Falls Du/Ihr bei der Amicale also irgendwie erwägt, einen Spendenaufruf oder Hinweis auf
Spendenmöglichkeiten zu machen, und Du dabei die Möglichkeit hättest, die Namasté Stiftung zu erwähnen, die
