DR JON SHAFFER Dr Jon Shaffer is Lead Clinician for the Intestinal Failure Unit and Honorary Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at the Salford Royal NHS, Manchester, UK. Dr Shaffer has a major role in undergraduate education and has a clinical interest in inflammatory bowel disease and nutrition. He has been the lead consultant in running the ESPEN Experts’ Course in Intestinal Failure and is a member of the BAPEN faculty. Dr Shaffer has been an active Council member and Liaison Officer with ESPEN and is an ESPEN Lifelong Learning (LLL) Programme teacher. AuSPEN is delighted that Dr Shaffer has agreed to be a keynote speaker at its Annual Scientific Meeting in Auckland, New Zealand.
