Rockwood Connect Rockwood informs parents of school news and district emergencies through an automatic notification system called Rockwood Connect. Parents will receive two types of information: 1) Emergency Messages: The Rockwood School District will make every attempt to contact parents via phone (household, cell and work) in case of a crisis situation at the district or school. The safety of our students is our priority, and we will keep parents informed through regular updates via phone, email and text using our automatic notification system. Parent Procedures In order for our emergency response plans to be effective, we must depend on the cooperation and assistance of many people, such as local police and fire departments. We also depend upon the parents of our students to support our efforts. Your cooperation is vital to helping us protect the safety and welfare of all children and school employees. Therefore, we ask parents to observe the following procedures during a crisis situation: Do: n n n n n Check your phone for a voice/text message from the Rockwood Connect notification system. These announcements will include instructions on where, when and how you should pick up your child. Visit the district and/or school websites for the most up-to-date information. It may be necessary to keep the streets and parking lot clear for emergency vehicles. If an evacuation is required, students may be transported to a location away from the school. You will be notified of this through a variety of emergency message methods 2) Outreach Messages: Schools keep parents connected to news and information using the options provided by the district’s automatic notification system. Parents receive these informational phone calls to their cell phones (primary and secondary cell phone numbers as listed in their child’s contact information on Infinite Campus): The successful delivery of information is dependent upon accurate contact information. Check your family’s phone numbers and email addresses on the Infinite Campus Portal. If you do not have an Infinite Campus account, please contact your school’s administrative office.
