DOWNTOWN TRAFFIC UPDATE
Notice of closures through the end of 2015
and suggested detours for Thunder game nights
(Santa Fe facility parking)
This week, the City of Oklahoma City closed E.K. Gaylord Blvd. from Reno Ave. to S.W. 4th St. This closure, which will remain in place until the end of 2015, allows for ongoing improvements to downtown traffic related to the state’s construction of Crosstown Blvd. As this closure may affect your route to and from Thunder games, we wanted to give you an idea of the best way in and out of downtown so you can easily access major highways. Please note: The Oklahoma City Police Department will continue to close Reno Ave. from E.K. Gaylord to Thunder Drive (Robinson) starting two hours prior to Thunder home games and at least 20-‐30 minutes postgame to accommodate pedestrians. Thunder Alley will be canceled for the remainder of our November home games. FOR SANTA FE FACILITY PARKING: COMING TO THE GAME
From the north: Exit I-‐235 at 6th St. Take Harrison to 4th St.; turn south onto E.K. Gaylord and enter the garage from Gaylord. From the south or east: Exit I-‐40 westbound at Robinson Ave. Proceed north to Robert S. Kerr. Head east on Kerr and turn south on E.K. Gaylord; enter the garage from Gaylord. From the west: Exit I-‐40 eastbound at Western Ave. Take N.W. 4th St. to E.K. Gaylord; turn south and enter the parking garage from Gaylord. FOR SANTA FE FACILITY PARKING: LEAVING DOWNTOWN
Heading north: When you exit your parking, you’ll be directed south on E.K. Gaylord. Turn right immediately at Main St., then right on Broadway. Merge back onto E.K. Gaylord/Broadway northbound. Stay in the left lane and proceed north to 10th St.; take the I-‐235N onramp from 10th. Heading south or east: When you exit your parking, you’ll be directed south on E.K. Gaylord. Turn left immediately at Main St., then proceed east to Russell M. Perry. Turn north, then turn east at N.E. 4th St. Head south on Lincoln to the I-‐235S onramp. Heading west: When you exit your parking, you’ll be directed south on E.K. Gaylord. Turn right immediately at Main St., then right on Broadway. Turn left on Park to head west. At Hudson, turn right and proceed north to N.W. 4th St. Take 4th to Western; head south on Western to the I-‐40W onramp.
