Description
In addition to providing binders to boost performance on the anode, Ashland Inc. is a proven, global supplier of
solvent for processing binders on the cathode. Micropure EG (electronic grade) solvent is a high purity grade of NMethyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMP). Micropure EG solvent is made in a world-class, ISO-accredited plant to meet
the exacting standards required in the LiB market.

Applications and Usage Notes



Used to prepare solutions of PolyVinylidene DiFluoride (PVDF) for use as a cathode binder in Lithium Ion
Batteries
Cathode slurries produced with Micropure EG solvent have ideal characteristics for coating on aluminum foil
Micropure EG solvent is also designed for use in solvent recovery systems
