COURSE OBJECTIVES

The workshop aims at providing a forum for UG/PG
level teachers of various technical institutions of the
country as well as the technical researchers for
upgrading their knowledge on recent advances in the
field of Microcontrollers & Embedded Systems. The
workshop is designed in such as way that it will
enlighten the participants with both theoretical and
practical aspects of most prominent and sound
electronics / electrical engineering methods.


Introduction to 8 – bit Microcontrollers
Introduction to Embedded Systems
Programming 8 – bit microcontrollers
Introduction and programming of Counters,
Timers and serial communication of
microcontroller
Introduction of IDE simulation software
Introduction to Protius simulation software
Interfacing and programming of the real
time devices like LED, 7 – segment LED’s,
LCD’s, Stepper motors, Servo Motors, DC
Motors, Keyboard/Keypad and ADC/DAC.
Practical exposure using Protius simulation
and on the Breadboard.
Mini Projects using Breadboard.
Introduction to operating systems, real time
operating systems used for the embedded
environment.
