New UBA member businesses are promoted as new members
in the following Explore Urbana e-newsletter. In addition, new
member businesses will be welcomed through a variety of
social media outlets at no additional cost
Social Media Promotion
The UBA staff will market and promote your products and
services through a variety of outlets including Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn as well as our weekly
and monthly newsletters, website, and events. We have a
growing audience that will provide additional avenues of
exposure.
Explore Urbana Weekly E-newsletter
This weekly e-newsletter is an event based newsletter
distributed to more than 2,500 individual email addresses each
Thursday afternoon. It outlines a variety of events taking place
throughout Urbana in the upcoming week. UBA members have
an opportunity to include events in this e-newsletter at no
additional cost.
Newsletter Coupons
The Explore Urbana e-newsletter provides an opportunity to
highlight discounts and specials available through your
business. Coupons can be added to the footer of the Explore
Urbana weekly e-newsletter at no additional cost.
It’s All About U! Monthly E-newsletter
This e-newsletter contains current topics and personal insight
that directly impact the small business owner and operator.
This is distributed monthly to UBA members at no additional
cost.
Urbana Sweetcorn Festival, Holiday Market,
and Middle Market Booth Space
UBA member businesses receive half-off the regular price of
booth space at the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival, Holiday Market,
and Middle Market.
Information and Assistance
The UBA staff is available to provide business information,
referrals, community data and assistance to people with
specific questions.
Mailing List
A mailing list of all UBA member businesses containing contact
name and address is available to UBA members at no
additional cost.
Ribbon Cuttings
The UBA staff is available to be present at your grand opening,
open house, marked anniversary, or ground breaking event
and would be honored to commemorate the occasion with a
ribbon cutting ceremony at no additional cost. A press release
will be distributed prior to the event with attendance by city
officials, city council members, and the Mayor of Urbana.
Small Business Counseling
The UBA staff will work with small business owners through
counseling efforts with SCORE, Small Business Development
Center, Regional Planning Commission, and the City of Urbana
Community Development Department.

Smart Phone Application - Push Notifications
The UBA maintains a smart phone app for Urbana providing a
one-stop-shop for all things Urbana. UBA members have the
opportunity to offer discounts and specials through push
notifications sent to app users’ phones at no additional cost.
