Medicines Australia CEP eNews Student Edition, January 2015 How to Get Started - (With an Enrolment Key) To get started, students will need to visit the UMORE iLearn Education Site: https://www.pharm.utas.edu.au/iLearn. 1) Follow the ‘is this your first time here?’ instructions to create a new user account. 2) Once your account has been created, navigate to the homepage and select the program for which you are seeking enrolment into. 3) You will be prompted to complete your contact details. Please complete Section A and Section B as necessary and select ‘save details’. 4) You will be asked to select whether you are completing the full CEP (programs 1-6) or program 1 only, and provide the required information 5) Proceed to enter your enrolment key provided by your Company Coordinator in the enrolment key box and select ‘enrol me’. 6) The enrolment key is a 4x4 digit number separated by dashes. Please note the dashes are part of the enrolment key and must also be inserted. 7) Once entered, you will be able to begin your studies and access your online study materials immediately. How to Get Started - (Without an Enrolment Key) As above, please visit the UMORE iLearn Education Site: https://www.pharm.utas.edu.au/iLearn. 1) Follow the ‘is this your first time here?’ instructions to create a new user account. 2) On the homepage, please select the program for which you are seeking enrolment into. 3) You will then need to select the ‘Independent enrolment’ link within the Student Information box on the right hand side of your screen. 4) You will then be prompted to complete your contact details. Please complete Section A and Section B as necessary and select ‘save details’. 5) You will be asked to select whether you are completing the full CEP (programs 1-6) or program 1 only and provide the required information. 6) Upon completion of the enrolment process you will then receive a confirmation email to your nominated email address. 7) Once you have confirmed the link you will then be able to begin your studies. 2015 CEP Fees Medicines Australia Member Fee $640.00 (Incl. GST) 2015 Key Dates Semester 1 Enrolment Opens Enrolment Closes Semester Close Results Released 12th January 2015 8th May 2015 5th June 2015 12th June 2015 Semester 2 Enrolment Opens Enrolment Closes Semester Close Results Released 29th June 2015 23rd October 2015 20th November 2015 27th November 2015 Recognition of Prior Learning Program 3: Human Anatomy and Physiology, Program 4: An Introduction to Pharmacology and Program 6: Understanding Clinical Evidence are available for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) applications if students can demonstrate relevant tertiary training according to the specified criteria. There is no Recognition of Prior Learning option for CEP Programs 1, 2 and 5. Students may apply for RPL electronically on the UMORE iLearn Education site. To apply for Recognition of Prior Learning, please navigate to the Student Information box on the right hand side of your UMORE iLearn Education Site and select the Apply for recognition of prior learning link. Students can apply at any time during their CEP studies, although they will not be permitted to enrol in Program 4: An Introduction to Pharmacology until Program 3: Human Anatomy and Physiology RPL has been approved or completed. Updating Contact Details If you change companies or move address throughout your Continuing Education Program studies, we ask that you please update your address / company details in iLearn. To do this, please login to your iLearn user account and select the edit contact details link within the Student Information box on the right hand side of your UMORE iLearn Education Site. Medicines Australia CEP eNews Student Edition, January 2015 CEP Grading System Tertiary Recognition of CEP Continues The pass mark across all Medicines Australia Continuing Education Programs (including Program 1 - Update) is 60%. To date, The University of Tasmania’s incentive, offering free tertiary recognition of the Medicines Australia Continuing Education Program, has proven to be extremely popular. A large number of students have taken the opportunity to convert their Medicines Australia CEP programs into free tertiary credits which they can make use of over a 10 year period.
