The Mahanoy Area School District has the following ANTICIPATED positions available: Special Education Teaching Assistants These are part-time positions and offer $8.50 per hour to the qualified candidate. Requirements for these positions include: experience and interest in working with children, excellent communication skills, ability to lift 100-125 lbs. daily, high school diploma or equivalent and advanced training that meets the standards for a paraprofessional (Associate’s Degree) as outlined in NCLB.
