Youth and Family Project Manager

The Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) is looking for a full time Young People and
Family Project Manager to work in the Bridgeport area. Primary responsibility is to manage daily
program and volunteer activities, community organizing, initiate recovery advocacy, support services and
education for young people and families.
The ideal person will be enthusiastic, extremely well organized and passionate about working with people
in recovery. Here are some other basic qualifications:









Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field desired or Associates degree and two
years’ experience may be substituted.
Minimum of two years in a supervisory/management capacity.
Experience in community organizing, program promotion and training.
Experience in working with young people and families preferred.
Understanding of addiction recovery process and recovery advocacy.
Strong customer service skills.
Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills.
Exceptional computer skills including database management.
Cross-cultural skills and experience with culturally diverse populations.
The Young People and Family Project Manager is a full time exempt (35 hour/week) position with
evening hours required 11:00 am – 7:00 pm. A cover letter highlighting your interest and experience
