Wadu Matyidi is set in pre-contact times of the early 1800s when Adnyamathanha children of the Flinders Ranges were inspired, schooled and entertained by their interactions with ‘country’. The story has arisen from the generational stories of Uncle Buck McKenzie and the imaginations of students attending an Inhaadi Adnyamathanha Ngwarla class. LAMBADA COM FARINHA Director: Thomate Brazil, 4’38, 2013 Blood, bottoms and flour. A PEQUENA VENDEDORA DE FÓSFOROS (THE LITTLE MATCH GIRL) Director: Kyoko Yamashita Brazil, 9’13, 2014 She is just a child who struggles to survive in this concrete jungle anyway she can. She is a warrior born unwanted. Her way of survival is infamous but her fate is to die rejected for being what she is. Poor, dirty and uneducated. Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s famous tale. WADU MATYIDI Directors: Luke Jurevicius, Arthur Moody Australia, 8’00, 2010 Three adventurous Adnyamathanha kids set out for a day of exploration near their camp. They pass the time by spooking one another with tales of the ancient creatures of their country. When they stumble upon unusual tracks their hearts and imaginations start racing and they make a discovery that will change their lives forever. Well, if your idea of DIY repairs involves administering vicious blunt force trauma with whatever objects you can find, then yes, it can. GUIDA Director: Rosana Urbes Brazil, 11’18, 2014 Guida is a sweet middle aged woman who has worked for many years as an archivist in the city. When she happens to stumble across a newspaper advertisement for a life model, it changes her whole life.
