All special designs MUST be submitted 3 weeks before the event to
[email protected] and [email protected]
All special designs MUST be approved by PIKOM before build-up.
Admin Fee of RM10 per sqm and refundable Performance Bond (amount
according to booth size) MUST be paid to our Official Contractor, before
Contractors’ Move-In. The height limit is set at 5 metres for all Halls 2-5 and
6 metres for Mono-brand booths at Hall 1 which includes the structural
rigging.
For any construction on shell scheme booth, the height shall not exceed 4m.
For structural rigging, the height of the structure should not exceed 1.2
metres.
60% visibility from all angles.
All designs with backdrop/wall/partition should be built with a clearance of
One (1) metre distance away from the edge of the booth.

ALL HANGING OBJECT require rigging must submit the below information for our
assessment including:-





3D Visual of the stand design together with the hanging object;
Size and weight of the hanging / rigging object;
Attachment method and the risk of the object coming loose and failing;
Superimposed rigging location plans indicate the rigging point; and
Signed Rigging Load Indemnity Form need to be completed.
We would like address some of issues raised by exhibitors/contractors with regards to
special designs in booths that are:
• against a wall;
• next to a loading bay; or
• where the aisle is not a main walkway for visitors and does not have a high traffic
flow
The decision is very much guided by the 60% VISIBILITY RULES which is basically set to
avoid the views of adjacent booths from being blocked. Since the booths at the abovementioned places does not face this problem, an exception to the Visibility Rule will
apply.

Basically we will look at allowing:
 The building of back walls/backdrops.
 The build up to start at the edge not 1 metre from it.
 Displays/exhibits to start from the edge and not 1 metre from it.

• All special design booths must have the booth number to be indicated on the stand
• Shell-scheme booth who used their own signage must also indicate the booth
number on the signage

No outside food and beverage are allowed.
No smoking.
Workers must wear proper attire with long pants, company t-shirt and covered shoes.
Contractor badges must be wore during build up/tear down.
Do no loiter at lobby and foyer.
Below 18 years old is not permitted to work at KL Convention Centre.
Foreign worker without working permit is not permitted to work in the Centre.
All wastage and build-up materials shall be removed entirely from the hall and
loading bay before the show starts and after tear down.
9. Every exhibitors/contractors are responsible for their own waste item. Any item found
left over in the hall/loading bay after tear down will be charged for the removal of
waste.
10. Any exhibit items left behind after the stipulated time will be disposed off without
further notice.

Movement of trolley are strictly to be carried out within the plywood protection area
ONLY!
Use of scaffolding/ working platform above 3m height.
No worker on scaffolding while moving
No sanding, spray painting, sawing, metal cutting, major painting and major
construction allowed during set up.
Two paint washing area at the loading dock in between 1&2 and 4&5. Next to the cargo
lift to Level 3.
No blocking of fire fighting equipment and exit door during build up/tear down.
Exhibitor to build a proper store in their booth space to avoid over stacking products at
their booth space or outside the booth.
Exhibitors are not allowed to hang/attach heavy item onto the shell scheme for safety
reason.
Any damages has found in the result of not comply with the above precaution actions,
the said exhibitor/contractor will be borne to pay for the damage.

 DON’T HANG ANY RACKS TO BOOTH’S FASCIA BOARD
• For safety reasons, PIKOM would like to seek the co-operation from all
exhibitors to NOT hang any of your product racks onto the booth’s fascia
board. The structure is not built to support the weight of your products.
Should any injuries happen to anyone due to collapse of the booth structure,
collapse of your product racks or products, PIKOM will be not be responsible
for the damages.

Exhibitors that are using their own lighting fixtures will be charged the lighting
connection fee.
Lighting connection are charged according to the number of tubes or bulbs lighted
on the stand.
Light boxes are charged according to the number of tubes in each light box using
the lighting hook up.
PIKOM reserves the right to stop the exhibitor from continue using the lighting
fixtures if exhibitors whose lighting fixtures are found to be the cause of trips in
power supply for safety reasons.
Power point supplied is Not for lighting purpose. It is to be used for running
equipment/exhibits such as laptop, handphone charger and etc.
For lighting purpose, lighting hook up/connection will applied.
One power point is assigned to one equipment only. No multi plug/extension is
allowed.
