Carol Singing for Christian Aid at the Christmas Farmers' Market, Friday 19th
December. Just turn up and join in, outside the Java Coffee Shop at 10 am and sing
for about an hour. We hope to have some brass instrumentalists to boost our
tunefulness and our volume. The traders are looking forward to what has now
become a traditional part of this seasonal market. Proceeds from the collection will
go to the 2014 Christian Aid Christmas Appeal for which the Department for
International Development has promised to match the first £5 million raised.
Christian Aid New Year's Day Walk, Thursday 1st January 2015 will start at 10
am from All Saints and follow a route through Bayworth to Boar's Hill and back via
Sunningwell. Refreshments at 'Tall Trees', Boars Hill about halfway through the
6.5-7 miles of the walk. Walkers are asked to make a donation towards the Appeal
at the start or at the refreshment stop. Sponsor forms are available from the
Christian Aid reps in the churches or from Cliff Marshall (Ab. 530480,

Over the last 5 years, TrinityLearning has worked with 20 schools and helped over
3000 children through its small-group workshops. To celebrate its achievements,
we're holding a special Open Evening at Trinity at 7:30pm on Monday 24th Nov and
we do hope that all those who have been involved in the past, plus those who’d like to
know more, will be able to join us then.
The speakers for the next meeting of Men’s Group on 28th Nov at 7.30pm will be
Martin and Sylvia Wilson. The title of their talk is "The Survivor: Freedom from
Torture’. Our chef is Paul Williams to whom orders should be sent by 26th Nov. on

This month’s green tokens at Waitrose are for The Abingdon Bridge or 11th
Abingdon (All Saints) Scout Group – what a dilemma! We support both – please
allocate your tokens thoughtfully.
Items for the next Circuit newsletter are due by the end of Wed 12 Nov. If you
are planning a church event and want to publicise it to the wider area, or wish to
submit an article, please e-mail it to Andrew Lockley: [email protected]
Foodbank: thank you for your continuing support for the foodbank. The items which
are not coming in so readily are fruit squash, sugar, pasta sauce, jam, peanut butter,
