BOOK CLUB will meet on Monday, December 29th, at 1 PM, in the library. Miss Dreamsville and the Collier
County Women's Literary Society: A Novel, by Amy Hill Hearth, is the selection. Sandy McIntyre will lead the
discussion. The story is set in Naples in the early 1960s. Segregation, feminism, gays coming out, interracial
dating, it’s all in there, written as it happened in small towns everywhere. All welcome (no membership

BLOOD BANK will have its Blood Mobile at KGC on Friday, January 2nd, 8 AM to 12 PM. Donors receive a free

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY - Enhance Your Pictures: Learn how to improve your digital images using Lightroom
and/or Photoshop. First and third Tuesdays, from 1-3, starting January 6th. -- Wren McMains
JETTY PICNIC on January 8th, to start off the New Year. Enjoy the sunsets. Everyone welcome. Bring your
favorite dish for twelve. Remember your social hour snacks and refreshment, plus your place settings. Social
hour at 4 PM; dinner at 5 PM, at the North Jetty. -- Chairperson, Claire Becker
SQUARE DANCE PARTY will be on Friday January 9, 2015. Doors will open at 6:30 PM. Tickets will be on sale
the next two weeks, at the Saturday morning meetings. The ticket price will be $3.00 per person. BYOB and a
snack to share. Red Bates will be the caller and will give some easy square dance lessons. Come have fun and

NEW ENGLAND BREAKFAST, our first of the season, will be on Friday, January 23rd at 8:30 AM, at Ophelia's
Pasta House, 1097 N. Tamiami Trail, Nokomis. We invite all New Englanders and guests to attend. Please sign

LIFE SKILLS CLASS #3: The third and last of our Life Skills Classes will be held on January 27th, 10:30 AM, in
the Rec Room. The title is Healthy Heart, something near and dear to us seniors. Sign up in the rear of the Great

MEDIEVAL BANQUET: Anyone interested in being a part of the event, we will be meeting for a short while after
the Social Meeting on Saturday, December 27th, to assemble committees that will be responsible for hosting an

TRIVIA: We met last Thursday for a holiday frolic, fun time and four rounds of earth-shattering trivia nonsense!
We ate yummy goodies, drank some wine and sangria and even tempted the dominoes players with food and
wine! Our results were composed of three groups: #1 - Curt and Joel, who only won over the other two teams
by three points! #2 and #3 spots were tied, with Barb and Betty and Rod and Fred. Stay tuned to find out when
the next trivia night will occur (after the holidays, of course). We may change the night but will announce the
correct night through the newsletter, cable news and at the Saturday morning social. -- Sara Robbins
REMINDER to all Owners who have Rental Properties, please remember that the Rule changed in October 2014.
ALL Renters must have an annual background check and report in at the office upon arrival. There is
also a $25.00 charge per occupant. Both husband and wife must complete all forms and return them to the
office 14 days before arrival. -- Michele Rachal, Office Manager
REMINDER: Only flush body waste and toilet paper down your toilets. Anything else will cause blockage
in the pipes. Do Not ever put the following in your toilet or down the drain: Cloth (or disposable) diapers,
towels, wash cloths; plastic items, such as, Dental floss or Swiffer pads.... etc. Please tell your guests,
cleaning personnel and caregivers!!!!!! -- Michele Rachal, Office Manager
