PRODUCTIVTY CASE STUDY CONTEST
Pune Chapter is pleased to announce the
Productivity Case Study Contest for
“Improvement in Productivity
through Innovative Application of
Industrial Engineering Techniques”
In today’s challenging business environment,
it is more important than ever to discover and
nurture new ideas. That is why IIIE is presenting
the Productivity Contest 2014-15. Innovations
should break with conventional processes and
should go far beyond marginal improvements in
existing products and services.
IIIE Pune Chapter takes great pleasure in
inviting the companies/ individuals to participate
in the Productivity Contest-2015.
Join the Case Study Competition and show
just what kind of Creativity, Team Spirit and
Analytical Thinking you have. The case study
competition is to highlight business success
stories and lessons learned to provide insights
for other organizations pursuing the innovative
approach. To qualify for the competition, the Case
study must be complete with demonstrated
business results. The case study must be original
and not published elsewhere earlier.
A certificate to this effect must accompany
the entry.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Create awareness on the Importance of
Productivity improvement by innovative
methods to achieve economic progress.
2. Recognise efforts of companies who have
achieved excellence in Productivity Management
by innovation and enhanced quality.
3. Emphasize the fact that quality & productivity
enhancements have high impact on
sustainability & future growth of the economy.
4. Encourage the use of productivity indicators
in monitoring the qualitative and quantitative
levels of achievement by companies.
5. Emphasize the usefulness of Productivity
Measurement by innovative methods in
managing and evaluating company
performance.
APPRECIATION AND AWARDS
The first three winners will be awarded
prestigious IIIE Productivity Trophy. Other
deserving contestants will get participation
certificates. The top 3 winners will get an
opportunity to present their Case Study during
Foundation Day Celebration in January 2015 in
front of august gathering of professionals from
industries.
However all the partcipants will be given a
chance to present their case study before the
evaluation team before the Foundation day.
Date,time and Venue for presentation will be
intimated after receipt of case study. Few
champions in the past were
Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, EPCOS,
Garware Wall Ropes, Mahindra & Mahindra,
Forbes Marshall, Cummins Generator, VIT,
KSB Pumps, Zensar, Radheya Machining Ltd.
Seinumero etc.
ELIGIBILITY:
Small, Medium & Large Organizations or SSI
units or Service & IT Industries who have achieved
substantial improvement in Productivity should
surely participate. The case study would have to
be original and not published elsewhere.
Due consideration will be given for actual
implementation and proof of measured benefits,
supported by relevant documents.
FORMAT & SUBMISSION:
The case should be neatly typed in MS
Powerpoint Format, giving all relevant details of
the achievements supported by documents and
authorisation.You can send the soft copy by
email on or before 10th January 2015.
AREA OF WORK:
Project can be in any area of work in
Business, Industry, Public Administration,
IT Sector, Service Industry, Education and
Professional Bodies wherein Substantial
Productivity Improvement by innovative
methods has been achieved. Emphasis will
be given to actual implementation and
measured benefits, supported by documents.
