John Gentless, Mayor stratford Times Mayor’s Message From the Stratford Municipal Senior Office The Stratford Municipal Senior Office has but one objective, to get for Stratford’s senior citizens everything that New Jersey and Camden County offer. Whether it’s information or senior vouchers for fresh produce, medical information, or entertainment, Stratford’s seniors deserve their share. In fact, that’s what made Mike Goldin start the current office. Mike Goldin wondered why people from other towns went to information sessions, parties, band concerts, lunches, etc., and decided to find out. So far, the Stratford Senior Office has offered a meeting with a freeholder with refreshments, a number of concerts, and an evening at the Riversharks with dinner. A number of articles on senior interest have also been written by Mike. And forms have been offered so seniors can apply for food vouchers as was private meetings with county experts to determine by age/ income just what benefits are available on a personal basis. Thus far, response to most programs has not been overwhelming but he’ll keep trying Mike has asked why we don’t start a senior group in Stratford. Mike Goldin didn’t know just what seniors did at this time so he went to a Camden County town and saw first hand a town employee open the building and keep an eye on this group. Of course, if enough of Stratford’s seniors want this, Mike Goldin will support any initiative to start one. For those seniors who get this information and know seniors who don’t get it and would want to be notified of these events, please tell them to call or go to borough hall and clerk John Keenan will make you aware of just what to do. Atkinson, along with representatives from LevLane, accepted these awards on September 23rd at a special reception in Chicago held as part of Modern Healthcare's first Strategic Marketing Conference.
