MPS POLICE CONSTABLE RECRUITMENT TIMELINE Stage 2: Complete the pre-application online assessments • Behaviour Styles Questionnaire • Situational Judgment Test • London Factor Assessment Stage 4: MPS make initial checks on the application form Weeks 5-8 Stage 3: Complete the online application form Stage 6: Complete Police SEARCH® Day 1 Assessment Centre Weeks 9-11 Stage 5: Notification and invitation of Police SEARCH® Day 1 Assessment Centre via email Stage 9: Complete security vetting clearance and reference checks (This can take up to 4 weeks or longer depending on individual circumstances) Weeks 13-16 Stage 8: Complete Day 2 Medical and Job Related Fitness Test (JRFT) Week 12 Stage 7: Notification and invitation of Day 2 Medical and Job Related Fitness Test (JRFT) via email BOOK ONTO/COMPLETE CERTIFICATE IN KNOWLEDGE OF POLICING (CKP) Stage 1: Complete the online registration and eligibility self assessment. This will include a Realistic Job Preview. Weeks 1-4 Complete Pre-Application Questionnaire Stage 10: Offer of start date for the Police Training Course (we will aim to give 1 months notice) Each application is processed on an individual basis. Therefore, timescales during the application process are dependent on individual circumstances. The timings above assume that you attend the Day 1 and Day 2 dates given to you and that you respond to requests for additional information quickly.
