Principal
Nathaniel ("Nat") T. G. Fogg is a Principal at The Chertoff Group where he co-heads the firm’s Mergers and
Acquisitions (M&A) practice. Mr. Fogg provides strategic advice to the firm’s clientele to help them achieve their
growth objectives with a focus on the defense, national security, information security, technology, and government
services markets.
During his five years with the firm he has advised on over 50 M&A engagements, closing more than $5 billion in
transaction value. Representative recent deals where Mr. Fogg has provided transactional and strategic advice
include: General Catalyst Partners' acquisition of OG Systems; Veritas Capital's acquisition of QinetiQ North America
Services and Solution Group; CACI's acquisition of Six3 Systems; and PAE's acquisition of Computer Sciences
Corporation’s Applied Technology Division. Mr. Fogg also provides corporate strategy advice to defense and
government contractors.
Prior to joining The Chertoff Group, Mr. Fogg was the Deputy Chief Operating Officer at the Federal Emergency
Management Agency (FEMA) where he was instrumental in restructuring the agency and improving its response and
recovery capabilities in the wake of the federal response to Hurricane Katrina. Previously, Mr. Fogg was a
management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton.
Mr. Fogg served five years as an officer in the United States Navy and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School
and a B.A. from Yale University.
