Request for Expression of Interest Bahir Dar University (BDU) is launching an International Conceptual Campus Master Plan Design Competition for the central clusters of its campuses in Bahir Dar City. The competition will be open to all local consulting architectural firms of category V and above, who can establish a consortium with foreign firms with proven experience in design works related to university master plan preparation or other projects of similar complexity. The Association of Ethiopian Architects (AEA) is collaborating with Bahir Dar University in the planning and administration of the competition. This initial communiqué is issued in advance to give potential competitors enough time to form the above mentioned consortium and submit Expression of Interest (EOI). The final date for submission of the EOI is August 15, 2014. Application forms can be downloaded from the websites given bellow or be collected from Bahir Dar University, telephone 0928‐955696 or its Liaison Office in Addis Ababa, telephone 0911‐221424 or 0913‐022143. This communiqué has also been announced on the public media as well as the promoter’s (BDU) and organizer’s (AEA) websites; www.bdu.edu.et www.ethiopianarchitects.org respectively. BDU and AEA encourage all eligible consulting firms to participate in this prestigious competition.
