Dearly beloved,
After being addressed by the two angles in the white garments, Mary turns around and sees Jesus, but
she does not recognize him; Now he calls her by name: “ Mary!” once again she has to turn, and now
she joyfully recognizes the risen Lord, who she addresses as Rabbuni. She wants to touch him, to hold
him, but the Lord says to her; “Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father” (St. John
20:17). This surprises us. We would have thought that now, while he is standing before her, she can
indeed touch him and hold him. When he has ascended to the Father, this will no longer be possible. But
the Lord says the opposite: Now she cannot touch him and hold him. Pope Benedict XVI reminds that
the earlier way of relating to the earthly Jesus is no longer possible. To understand this, Pope Benedict
XVI invites our attention in Pauline view that we see in 2 Cor.5:16-17. “Even though we once regarded
Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he/ she is a
new creation. The old manner of human companionship and encounter is over. From now on we can
touch Jesus only ‘with the Father’. Now we can touch him only by ascending. From the Fathers
perspective, in his communion with the Father, he is accessible and close to us in a new way.
Pope Benedict XVI underscores the fact that through the sacrament of Baptism, our life is already
hidden with Christ in God- in our current existence we are already ‘raised’ with him at the Fathers right
hand. (cf.Col.3:1-3) If we enter fully into the essence of the Christian life, then we really do touch the
risen Lord. Touching Christ and ascending belong together. Our going up on ‘high’ in order to touch, has
to be traveled in the company of ‘Sleeba’ (Crucified one). The Sleeba, at the Fathers right hand, is not
far away from us. At most we are far from him, but the path that joins us to one another is open. And
the path is not a matter of space travel of a cosmic – geographical nature; it is a ‘space travel’ of the
heart, from the dimension of self-enclosed isolation to the new dimension of world embracing divine
love. May the triune God enable us the touch the ‘Sleeba’(the crucified one) to be renewed by his touch
and thereby in touch with his divine love for this world. Amen.

Rev. Aju Abraham (2011-14) is gifted with divine attributes like humility, compliance, obedience,
courtesy and adaptability etc. He is a person of down to earth and practicalities. Thank you so much
achan, Nini Kochamma, Diya and Ameya mol.
Rev. Saju Samuel C (2013 to -) is a person of capabilities and potentialities with perspectives concerning
ministry. His presence over here will certainly enhance the wider dimension of our fruitful ministry.
Thank you achan, and May God continue to bless achan, Linu Kochamma, Achu & Sachu mon.
Let me fashion my heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Parish. Thank you Georgekutty for your
constant, meaningful, support and care. Thank you Silveena for your uprightness, honesty and integrity
in dealing and carrying out the work. My thanks goes to Sunil, Dayal & Jyoti for their effective labour

It is time for us to acknowledge and express our gratitude to our beloved achens and families for
their meritorious services to our parish.
M.O.Oommen Jr. Achen’s, who served our parish for the past four years, administrative skills
and leadership qualities are remarkable. Along with Biji Kochamma, Meghna and Manha,
Oommen achen proved to be a successful parish priest.
Aju Abraham Achen’s, who served for the last three years, simplicity and interpersonal skills are
commendable. Together with Nini Kochamma, Diya and Amaya they did a good ministry at our
parish.
Primrose parish was so fortunate to have M.O.Oommen Achen and Aju Achen. We will miss
you Achens. We wish you God’s abundant blessings in your future endeavors. Moreover, we
pray that the almighty God’s continued guidance be in your ministry.

New Parish Directory
As planned, our Parish Photo Directory was released by our Metropolitan Thirumeni on the
Parish Day. This was possible by the able leadership and guidance of Rev. M.O.Ommen, keen
interested and dedication of Rev. Aju Abrham and useful tips by Rev. Saju Samuel. C. Most of
the data entry was made by Pusha and editing help by Mrs. Elsy Jaison. The work of
photography and design credit of the front page of the directory goes to Mr. Nithin Prasad and
Mr. Danny Thomas. Advertisement effort was taken care by Mr. George Thomas and Mr. Sunny
George. We appreciate all who helped directly or indirectly for the successful release of the
