An Open Annual Maintenance Tender is invited for preventive and corrective maintenance
of computer system installed in store branch, Northern Railway, Baroda House, 2 nd Floor of
computer system for a period of one year 19-05-2014 to 18-05-2015. The details given
below:Description

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Annual Comprehensive (with material) maintenance contract of computers with antivirus,
peripherals and networking equipment in COS office, Baroda House, New Delhi.
1. Maintenance/ Repair are to be done by the AMC Holder on site. If for any reason machine is
to be removed for rectification from railway premises, The AMC holder will provide a similar
machine in working condition for use by Railways till the machine under AMC is returned
and made fully Operational.
2. A minimum uptime of 90% is to be maintained for all machines and working equipment's at
a particular location.
3. The work shall be carried out as per railway specification. General conditions of contract in
force and instructions given by the engineer-in-charge.

In order to keep hardware and software in Excellent Working Condition, the AMC holder
will conduct preventive maintenance on periodical bases at an interval of 15 days, at every
location. A proper record of such preventive maintenance will be kept jointly by
SS/Computer and AMC holder.
5. AMC holder has to ensure that the data, Standard Software's such as oracle, operating
system etc. Installed on server/PC remains intact and available to railway in all the
circumstances.

In case AMC holder fails to fulfill as obligation under AMC, The Railway reserve the right to
get the machine/ networking equipment repaired/ replaced ( as the case may be) from
the market at the risk and cost of the AMC holder.
7.
The payment of AMC holder will be made on quarterly basis after successful completion of
AMC obligation during the preceding quarter.
8. The firm will provide name, address, phone number, fax number, E-mail id of the contact
person/ office to whom complaint will be made by consignee.
9. The vendor will provide resident engineer with mobile on all working days from 9.30 AM to
5.30 PM including holidays (Saturday and Sunday) if needed.
10. In case the AMC holder fails to rectify the defect or replace the machine within a similar
machine within 12 hours as stated in para2, penalty equal to 2% per day or part there of
(counted after expiry of 12 hours period after reporting), of the maintenance charges for
the machine / equipment shall be levied. SS/Computer will maintain a log book for the
purpose of monitoring the execution of the AMC.
11. In case the AMC holder fails to conduct preventive maintenance a penalty equal to 2% per
day for the no. of days delayed or part thereof of the maintenance charges for the machine/
equipment shall be levied.
12. In case the firm fails to maintain the uptime of 90% for all machines and working
equipments at a particular location as per terms of contract, a penalty equal to 2% per day
for the no. of days delayed or part thereof of the maintenance charges for machine
equipment shall me levied.
13. The scope of maintenance service shall consist of preventive as well as corrective
maintenance with material of equipments installed at different locations in COS office.
14. The anti-virus will be loaded in to one control server which will be periodically updated.
Through internet or any other suitable means, from this central server, it will be pushed to
all PCS s connected by LAN.
