Wailsnoris Vogt The Saratoga Sparks - 2014 Thoroughbred Classic May 31st & June 1st, 2014 Tournament Rules: The following set of rules will also be posted at each scorers table. • 16 minute halves (stop time) • 10 second backcourt • 3 minute half-time • 3 minute OT, if 2nd OT is required Winner determined by first point scored. • There will be a 5 minute warm-up before each game. If games are ahead of schedule, the clock will be set for 10 minutes at the conclusion of the previous game, Coaches -please be at your game site at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled game time the game can start up to 10 minutes before the scheduled time. • The game clock will run during the last 8 minutes of the second half if a team has a 20 point lead. It will go back to stop @ 15 points. • Play the “release” on foul shots • No one & one at 7 fouls. Double bonus at 10 team fouls. • 9th, 10th, 11th Grade Teams – 6 personal fouls • 4th , 5th , 6th , 7th , 8th Grade Teams – 5 personal fouls • Technical Fouls – Automatic 2 points and the ball at half-court, will shoot Technical Fouls last 2 minutes of the second half • Time Outs - 2 fulls, 2 thirty’s to be used at anytime. No carry-over for OT • 1 full time-out per OT • Head Coach may call time-out from bench • Clock will not stop on a made basket in the last minute of play • Home team supplies game ball. (Team listed first on schedule) • Home team provides official scorer and book, unless waived by Head Coach • Official scorer must sit at scorer’s table. Skidmore College From the Northway - NY interstate 87 Scenic Route: Because this route offers a glimpse of lovely downtown Saratoga Springs, it is recommended for first-time visitors to campus. Take Exit 14 toward Saratoga Springs. Union Avenue takes you past the thoroughbred track and many famous Victorian homes. Toward the end of Union Ave., you will passes the former site of Skidmore College before it moved to its current campus. At the end of Union Ave. turn right and then take your first left, passing around Congress Park. Then, turn right on Broadway, Saratoga's Main street. Skidmore is about 1 mile north of downtown Saratoga Springs on North Broadway. The main entrance is on your left, with the Eissner Admissions Building across North Broadway on your right. ! ! From the Northway: Take exit 15 from the Northway (I-87), go south on Route 50 toward Saratoga Springs for approximately one mile, then turn right on Route 9.
