Prior Experience
Ann joined the Keane Unclaimed Property
Practice following over 20 years of service with
the Pennsylvania Departments of Treasury and
Auditor General. Ann brings with her an extensive
audit background focused on Unclaimed Property
Compliance, Internal Control, and Fraud Prevention.
Ann’s expertise includes a wide range of client
needs including initial unclaimed property risk
evaluation, voluntary state disclosure, audit support,
and internal risk assessments to mitigate future
unclaimed property exposure. Throughout her
career, Ann combined her diverse specializations to
provide clients with a forward thinking approach
to identify and resolve issues involving all areas of
unclaimed property.
Throughout her career with the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, Ann continued to build on her
expertise in unclaimed property compliance. As the
Pennsylvania Unclaimed Property Audit Manager,
Ann oversaw all aspects of the audit engagement,
from audit selection to final resolution and
settlement. Ann also has experience in Treasury
Comptroller Operations as the Division Chief for
both Pre-Audit Operations and Accounting Control.
This experience afforded Ann the opportunity to
comprehend how unclaimed property issues truly
affect day-to-day operations as well as disclosure in
year-end financial statements.
Ann’s experience and technical expertise includes a
wide range of industries including broker-dealers,
mutual funds, investment banking, shareholder
services, manufacturing, retail, governments,
hospitals, universities, and financial institutions.
She also has a long history of public speaking on
topics such as, “How to Prepare & What to Expect
from a State Audit,” “Fraud Risks Associated with
Unclaimed Property from a Holder’s Perspective,”
and “Unclaimed Property Accounting Issues from
the Holder’s Point of View.”
