REPEAT AND PHASE OUT MODULES
REPEAT MODULE FEES are charged where a student is required to repeat a module of an IIE or UFS
qualification in order to progress. Repeat modules will be charged at a pro rata fee per module. The fee
amount, where applicable, is available at your chosen campus.
PHASE OUT MODULE FEES: Students who are required to complete phase out modules will be charged a fee
of R 3 500 per module.
Notes:
1. Due to UNISA’s strict no-cancellation policy, it is imperative for all UNISA students to confirm their
module/ subject registration with a Varsity College Student Advisor prior to registering with UNISA.
2. Fees are in respect of The Independent Institute of Education’s tuition only and academic material
and all other expenses including ICHM, UFS, UNISA & IMM (GSM) fees, and field trips are for the
student’s account.
3. UFS LLB 1st year students will be required to register for the Developmental Modules if they:
- have an AP score of 26 or 27 (or the equivalent), or
- have an NBT AQL score of less than 64, or
- have not submitted their NBT AQL results to UFS by 31 January 2015.
4.IIE BA 1st year students who have not obtained a minimum of 60% for English at NSC level are required to complete the IIE Developmental Modules.
5. A late registration fee of R 1 000 will apply to returning students who do not meet the registration deadline of 30 January 2015.
6. International students registering for the first time at Varsity College will be subject to an international student levy of R 5 000 payable upon registration. Returning international students will be required to
pay R 4 000.
