Bob says, he used to race Caterham’s and met this man who did work for Ford. He owns one of the cars in the picture which appears to have been taken at the old Chichester Police HQ presumably in 1965 when the cars were registered. There was at least one with Crawley traffic when I was drafted to Crawley as an East Sussex DC and a founder member of Crawley RCS in May 1967. Simon tells me that paperwork shows the purchaser of the cars as Mr Christopher Williams! Any in the picture still around, I wonder? THE SECRETARY’S BIT NEW MEMBERS A warm welcome is extended to Tim Tapley and Yvonne Brooker who have recently joined our branch. 3 SOCIAL EVENTS Our Social Secretary, Roger Buttle is currently on holiday in Cyprus so I don’t have any news of forthcoming social events to report.
