BIO MICHELLE AYU CHINTA KRISTY
Michelle Ayu Chinta Kristy is currently a doctorate candidate at the Faculty of Law of
University of Geneva and will soon start a joint doctoral degree programme with the Faculty
of Law of Maastricht University. She has been granted a full scholarship from the Indonesian
Endowment Fund for Education. In her research, she focuses on how the World Trade
Organization (WTO) law contributes to the nexus between trade in energy and sustainable
development.
Ms. Kristy completed a bachelor degree in law with summa cum laude from the Gadjah
Mada University and holds an LL.M. degree in International Economic and Business Law from
the University of Groningen funded by the Huygens Scholarship Programme. Since 2010, she
has served as a research fellow of the Centre for World Trade Studies of Universitas Gadjah
Mada.
She has interned and consulted in the areas of international trade at various international
