大島園 | TEA SHOP 東武東上線志木駅から歩いて二分のところにある茶葉と菓子販売の小店舗である。既存住宅の一部１２㎡を改修し、歩道との三角形の隙間に１２㎡を増築し、これをを繋げて一つの店舗としている。１０㎡のトイレと厨房が奥に設けられ、売り場は１４㎡しかない極小の敷地である。日本茶の老舗であるので、日本的なアイコンを用い This well known tea company sells tea leaves and traditional bean paste sweets. The shop is located on a commercial street adjacent to the local train station, a 30 minute train ride from the center of Tokyo. It is an addition to an existing house one of the last remains of a residential neighborhood. て安易に日本を表現することを避た。線の交差のしかたや、プロポーション、面のコンポジションなどに現れる日本的な特徴を用いて、かすかに読み取れるほどの控えめな表現が試みられている。外壁は最も廉価な素材の塗装鋼板である。天井や外壁の半透明スクリーンの格子の色には若い茶葉の緑色を用いている。昼の外光、夕方の照明、それぞれの時間帯の光を受けて、昼夜で微妙に異なる色合いの緑色が店内、店外にしみでるようにした。これらは商品の包装の緑とも響きあうことが目論 The preparation and drinking of tea has a very traditional place in Japanese culture that can be reinterpreted in a modern setting. The intrinsic nature of Japanese design is reflected in the building in the 3 dimensional proportions of the space, the use of intersecting planes and the composition of the surfaces, rather than the more traditional imagery of the tea ceremony. The presence of the building is established by maximizing the front facade, masking the existing residential structure behind. The form is clad in corrugated materials, which create a continuous exterior finish incorporating a large corrugated plastic translucent screen window. The intense color of the new tea leaves, is used on the tilted plane of the interior ceiling. During the day a gentle green radiance infuses the space with color. As the sun sets the green reflections emerge on the exterior facade, illuminating the translucent window with a gentle green luminescence. The beautiful tea packages complete the composition and add an overlay of color within the space.
