Experience hand-picking green tea
leaves and visit the Koukaen tea factory.
Koukaen is a local tea producer in Toyota
City that cultivates and processes tea
using traditional methods.
Join us for an awesome experience where
you can visit a tea field where the highest
quality, hand picked tea is grown.
This is a great chance to learn more about
Japanese green tea hands-on!









When: Sunday, May 15th 2016, 13:00 – 15:00
Where: Koukaen (67, Yashikibata, Yoshiwara-cho, Toyota City) Meet in
front of the tea shop. (Parking space available.)

Participants: Foreign residents and their Japanese family or friends who
live in and around Toyota City;
Maximum number of participants accepted: 20
Content: ①Experience picking green tea leaves in a field for hand picking.
② Tea factory visit ③Tasting of tea. ④Tasting rice ball with green tea
leaves
Explanation is in English and Japanese. The event may be cancelled in
case of bad weather conditions.
Fee: 1,000 yen (6 years and over) 500 yen (Children from age 1-5)
Application: Starts from May 6th.

豊田市でされている茶園、高香園でお茶摘み
体験、お茶の試飲、日本茶の加工の様子を
見学できます。
特に手摘み用の茶園での茶摘み体験は貴重
な体験となることでしょう。
直にお茶に触れることで日本茶についてもっ
と詳しく学んでみませんか？
