The marina for visitors and a Quick Stop is located in the centre of the village. The camping, the Quick Stop and the marina are operated voluntarily by NDSK, the local sports club. The guests at the camping can also use the facilities provided in the marina. The fees are collected in the evenings at around 20:30 by a Host. If the time does not suit you please put the money in an envelope and place it in one of the mailboxes. There are swings, firewood and a fireplace, garbage bins and possibility of emptying latrines. The campsite provides no electricity. Price: Trailer, caravan 80 SEK/24hrs. Tent 40 SEK/24hrs. D Guest marina The entire north part of the pier is reserved for approximately 30 visiting boats. Anchor the stern with your own anchor or alongside the pier. The Host can help you to refuel diesel and petrol. Price: 100 SEK/24hr, electricity included. F Quick Stop Beside Hamnmagasinet, the house that holds the harbor facilities there are room for 4 caravans. The maximum stay is one night. Price: 150 SEK/24hr, electricity included. F Service at the marina At Hamnmagasinet there are facilities for our boat and camping guests. The service building is open from June to August. Here you find a kitchen, WC, showers and laundry room as well as bicycles to rent. There is a place for emptying latrines besides the pathway to the marina. At the marina you also have free wireless internet and fresh water as well as a fireplace with firewood and garbage bins. Dalkarlså folkhögskola In Dalkarlså located ca 7 km north of Ratan there are a folk high school in an old manor, which runs a hostel during summer time and has a capacity of 48 rooms. Sights ”Sights in Västerbotten” presents two routes; the Ratanskär route and the Ratan route. These routes have information signs at the different sights and at Tullgården and Ratanskäret there are information signs abut the routes. The booklet “Ratan” is part of a series of books called “Sights in Västerbotten” and can be purchased at Tullgården for 30 sek. A brief history and information about sights can also be found in the brochure ”Ratan – the harbor of Northern Sweden”. Baths B Storsand sea shore / Nature Beach Storsand has a wonderful little beach with cliffs and sand where you find dressing rooms, outdoor WC, fireplaces and a camping table. Djäknebodasjön A nice little lake with a sandy beach F Ratan’s Bygdegård (Town Hall) The town hall offers space for meetings, courses/seminars and parties for hire. You can also make an agreement with someone from the bakery association to do this for you. If you plan to bake late in the afternoon, it is possible to start heating up the oven early in the same morning. If possibly, someone from the baking association can demonstrate how to bake bread in the traditional way. Price: 150 SEK firewood included, if you have your own firewood: 100 SEK. Trade museum at Dalkarlså College In ”Gammelgården”, one of the old houses at Dalkarlså College, there is a museum of an old country store which is open daily during the summer. The village of Dalkarlså is a charming countryside that has had a long and strong tradition in boat building and trading. In the nearby area The Church in Bygdeå The church was built during the Middle Ages and it is believed that there was a wooden church at the place as early as the fourteenth century. Price: 20 SEK D Boat Launching Ramp The ramp is located directly south of the northern pier. The ramp is approximately 4.5 m wide and is covered with thick gravel and has a 6 degree angel at average water level. The ramp can be used at any time for free. Bus, Taxi, Ferry to Holmön You can get bus route number ”12” or ”17” from the bus stop at E4:an in Djäkneboda or Bygdeå.
