Official Vasalopps Busses
Vasaloppet invites all participants to buy bus tickets to their race. If you take a
bus you can be certain to be in time for your start and, moreover, fresh and
rested. Bus tickets sales open, as a rule, in June before the summer vacations.
Tickets are sold here at vasaloppet.se or in Vasaloppets House, at the entrance to
the busses in Mora and at the race offices in Sälen or Mora. See below for
booking, prices and practical information.
Advance booking is strongly recommended.
If you buy a ticket on the spot at the bus we cannot guarantee that there will be
space; we therefore advise you to buy your ticket in advance. There are a limited
number of tickets.
There is a service charge of 15 SEK per order. Bought tickets are not refundable.
A bus ticket is not personal, but is however bound to the time you have booked.
For secure trading second-hand re-sale of tickets, Tickster refers you to
https://resale.tickster.com. Tickster firmly advises against any second-hand
buying or selling of tickets in any other way! For the present, Vasaloppet does not
supply any so-called spectator busses.
Practical information about our busses.
The departure place for busses and material transport (cycles are sent on lorries)
is in Mora, about 150 metres behind the Vasaloppet finish which is next to
Vasaloppets House. Follow the signs on the spot. Busses from Mora back to Sälen
after your race stop at Vasaloppets start and finally at Lindvallen. (NB! Lindvallen
applies only for CykelVasan). When boarding the bus in Mora please tell the
driver where you want to get off. (This does not apply for UltraVasan and
VasaStafetten).
Journey times:
Mora – Oxberg about 30 - 40 minutes
Sälen – Oxberg about 60 – 70 minutes
Mora – Sälen about 2 hours
Busses depart as they become full. Note that there are two types of departures, a
fixed time and running departures between two fixed times. There can be some
waiting time when all the vehicles are in traffic.
CYKELVASAN
Transport refers to both transport of cycle (by lorry) and the cyclist (bus). Cycles
must be suitably wrapped/packed. (Vasaloppet supplies a limited amount of
bubble plastic).
Bags with clothes change etc. you leave at the race start area; follow the signed
directions.

VASASTAFETTEN
For VasaStafetten bus transport is included in the participation fee for the 1st and
2nd sections participants.
Booking of this is obligatory!!! Note too that the 2nd section participants must
take the organiser’s bus to Smågan!

VASALOPPS START SÄLEN - SMÅGAN
Saturday 23/8 07.40. (This applies to those running section 2).
Busses back to the Vasalopps start in Sälen or onwards via Mångsbodarna and
Evertsberg to Mora depart from Smågan. 2nd section participants can board the
bus in Mångsbodarna.
To the start for sections 3 – 10: The team makes its own transport
arrangements.
