PAGE 2 In case no one told you today... Some samples of the Posters that the Frogs held up during their Guard Shifts. This past week, 7-13SEP was National Suicide Prevention Week and the Frogs decided to host an event for the Corps. Since the Frogs were on CGR on Thursday, 11SEP, it was a perfect way for the Frogs to raise awareness to the importance of this week. Each Cadet Guard was given a sign to hold up while they pulled security around West Point. At the bottom of each sign was a note to “Stop by the Central Guard Room (1200-1600) for some treats!” Waiting on CGR was brownies, cookies, candy, etc. and of course the Frogs loving smiles. Yik Yak is often referred to as the one true critic of the Corps or the “pulse of the Corps. One of the posts on Thursday read “I believe the Frogs are doing more for the mental health and morale of the Corps with their signs than the administration ever has with their briefs and programs. To the Frogs, thank you.” This yak received 153 up votes when last checked on Thursday night. That means at least 153 were positively affected by the signs and treats. The 1st Regiment Chaplain and the BTO also had great things to say about the signs and treats! The 1st Regiment Chaplain wanted to share this message with the Frogs: “I was walking back from the Sup’s 9.11 observance ceremony – your signs brought a big smile to my face and I was so encouraged.” A huge thank you to the Frogs for pulling that event off! It could not have happened without each of the Frogs stepping up and embracing what the signs said. Froggiest Room Incentives Make sure your are Froggifying your rooms, Frogs!! We will be grading rooms on Monday 22SEP. Each class will be graded separately. The winners will be awarded one day of PMI and a day of breakfast staybacks from the breakfast of their choosing.
