Meet your 2014 Chicago Alumni Board: Aneesha Marwah- Co-President Aneesha Marwah grew up as an expat kid in Saudi Arabia. She moved to New Orleans to attend Tulane University and after graduating in 2009 worked for the Louisiana State Legislature for four years. Her interest in New Orleans' post-Katrina redevelopment has led her to Chicago to pursue her Masters of Urban Planning and Policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She moved to Chicago in the fall of 2010 where she is a marketing and PR specialist at CohesiveFT, a cloud computing startup. She also handles the marketing campaigns and PR for a technology "unconference" event called CloudCamp Chicago. In her spare time, she is into running, biking, and cooking. At Tulane, she was involved in student government (USG), Kappa Alpha Theta, and Bruno's. Contact Info: [email protected] Alison Heine- Membership Chair Contact Info: Alison graduated Magna Cum Laude from the A.B. Freeman School of business in 2010 with a BSA in Marketing and Management and a minor in Sociology. Alison was Vice President of Programming for Tulane’s Chapter of the American Marketing Association as well as Vice President of Membership for Pi Beta Phi. She studied abroad at the University of Sydney, and spent one year working and living in Sydney, Australia. Alison has had roles in marketing for a non-profit in New Orleans, an entrepreneurial start up in Chicago, and now is a Professional Assistant for an Industrial Real Estate Company located in Rosemont. She is excited to bring her networking and event planning experience to the Tulane Chicago Alumni Club. [email protected] Maria Lefkow Sorensen- Educational Event Chair A Chicago native, Maria earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Business from Tulane in 1999. She currently serves as the Director of Development at Chicago Jesuit Academy (CJA), a full-scholarship college-prep middle school for young men located on the West Side of Chicago. Prior to CJA, Maria spent twelve years at The Princeton Review, a leading standardized test preparation company where she served as Executive Director of the Illinois office. In addition to the Chicago chapter of the Tulane Alumni Association, Maria also serves on the boards of the Adoption Center of Illinois at Family Resource Center and St. Ignatius College Prep Women's Society. Contact Info: [email protected] Cody Anderson- Communications Chair Cody was born and raised in the Chicago area before he attended Tulane University, where he double majored in Finance & Asian Studies. Cody spent his time at Tulane as President of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Vice President of the Inter-Fraternity Council, as well as playing on the Tulane Rugby team and working at the Jacque-Imo's family of restaurants (always gotta get the 'gator cheesecake). Cody currently works in M&A finance at WW Grainger, and spends his spare time holding various leadership positions with his current rugby club, LPRFC. Contact Info: [email protected] Blaine Doyle- Networking Chair A native of the northern suburbs of Chicago, Blaine graduated in 2004 with a degree in Political Science and History and stayed another year to complete his M.A. in History. After working for a political consultant in Chicago he returned to Tulane for law school and received his J.D. in 2009. During college Blaine was a tour guide and enjoyed attending baseball games.
