KuJi Ka Lono
Twelfth Annual Indigenous Education Conference
MAY 19 - 20,2014
Monday and Tuesday
8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Hawai'i Prince Hotel Waikiki
Honolulu - Island of O'ahu
Native designed and controlled public charter schools will share their
educational practices and accomplishments among themselves and with
other Indigenous educators, parents and other interested stakeholders. By
sharing strategies for success, such as ilEA-Education with Aloha", this
conference hopes to help all native communities create quality culturallydriven schools and programs that empower native students to walk
successfully in two worlds and assure that No Child Is Left Behind.
Day one will have a student-led focus, with an evening of cultural
performances. Day two will also involve the broader native education
community, for example, with strands focused on: Best Practices, Culture
Curriculum, Early Education, Humanities, Philanthropy, Policies and
Advocacy.
Join us in celebrating EA-Education with Aloha!
