Prof. Dr. Ottmar Edenhofer
Prof. Dr. Ottmar Edenhofer is deputy-director and chief economist at the Potsdam
Institute for Climate Impact Research. He is professor of the Economics of Climate
Change (appointment together with the Michael-Otto-Stiftung) at the Technical
University Berlin and is currently leading Research Domain III - Sustainable Solutions at
PIK, which focuses on the research on the Economics of Atmospheric Stabilisation. In
September 2008 he was appointed to a chairmanship of the Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change IPCC and will be leading the workinggroup III for the next seven year.
オットマー・エーデンホッファー博士
オットマー・エーデンホッファー博士は、ポツダム気候影響研究所（PIK：
Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research）副所長兼チーフ・エコノミストを務
め、ベルリン工科大学で気候変動経済学の教授として教鞭をとる（ Michael-OttoStiftung 氏とともに就任）。現在、PIK では大気安定化の経済学を専門とする研
究領域 III－持続可能な解決策チームを統括している。2008 年 9 月より気候変動
に関する政府間パネル（IPCC）の第 3 作業部会（WG III）の共同議長に就任。
今後 7 年間の任期で活動の予定。
