Vacation Studentship Programme 2014
The BHF Centre of Research Excellence (CRE) in Oxford
is offering vacation studentships to enable talented and
motivated undergraduates to carry out a research project in
cardiovascular science this coming summer.
58 world leading research groups comprise the BHF CRE,
with each group focusing on different aspects of
cardiovascular science. The research is frequently
multidisciplinary and spans basic and clinical science. For

The vacation studentships are for an 8 – 12 week
duration
 Students will receive a tax free stipend of £180 per
week
 A small number of studentships are available for the
summer of 2014

A full list of the BHF CRE researchers can be found on the
website below. The student should submit an application,
to include:



The student’s CV (2 pages max)
A letter from the student explaining their interest in
undertaking research (1 page max) and particular areas
of interest
The dates the student is available to work
Deadline for receipt of applications is: 28 March 2014

Successful students will be expected to submit a short
report at the end of the vacation studentship.
