Mission:
The Young Carers Initiative
serves caregiving children,
youth and their families
through social, recreational
and educational programs
intended to foster
resilience, self-esteem, and
life skills.
Vision:
Our Vision... A community
where young carers and
their families are
supported and can reach
their full potential.
Thank you Laura!
Laura came to Powerhouse Project on a
temporary contract, which will come to an
end in March. We are very lucky to have
benefitted from her knowledge, allowing us
to offer new and exciting programs and
activities for our young carers. Laura’s fun,
kind and approachable personality will be
missed. We wish Laura all the best as she
moves on to her new opportunities.
An 8 week program for youth (14-18 years) with a
parent living with a mental health issue.
