During the month of February, the Menifee Union School District Governing Board took the following actions:
The Governing Board accepted with thanks the following donations:
Altura Credit Union $900.00 to be used for employee recognition items; Menifee Valley Middle School Box Tops for Education Check $287.20 for school supplies, materials and/or technology; Oak Meadows Elementary School Students $247.50
cash for student supplies; Oak Meadows Elementary Parents Cash/Checks $1,677.00 to be used for Grade 5 Field Trip;
Starbucks Menifee coffee valued at $100.00 for Quail Valley Elementary School Donuts with Dad Event; EJP International
75 Tickets to Pulu International Family Music Festival valued at $1,875 for Student incentives; Heaven Scent Florist Floral

Presentations
Principal Mike Reyes (left) presented a snapshot of the activities at
“The Q,” Quail Valley Elementary School. Among the programs
highlighted were a summary of the Mission and Goals of the
school, the Five levels of school effectiveness, increasing responsibility of students for their own behavior. Adherence to the ROSE,
(Respect Others Self and Environment) is expected.
Mr. Robert Wolfe, ( pictured left Assistant
Superintendent of Business Services, presented
an update on the construction of Elementary
School No. 10. The
school will be located at the furthest
Southeast corner of
the District. School
10 is tentatively
scheduled to open
for the 2016 / 17
school year, and a
budget update.

funds donated to support the Arts Council
Menifee’s Summer Arts Institute.
Assistant Superintendent
of Curriculum and Instruction, Dr. Karen Valdes, (above) presented
information about the
Local Control and Accountability Plan, including a timeline of upcoming community outreach,
and an update on the efforts made thus far.
