CROSSWALKS Kertrina (pictured above) is the Employee of the Year for MIDD. Congratulations! HRC showed its support for Dyslexia Awareness in October. I don’t know if it is because of the rush to punch in, not paying attention, or folks are just rude, but we have a problem about cars on the HRC campus not yielding to pedestrians. If you see someone in a marked crosswalk on campus, the driver of the vehicle is required by law to yield to the pedestrian. We have had some close calls and it needs to stop now. Phone use while driving on campus is strictly prohibited. Don’t do it. If you are rushing to punch in for work and hit someone, you won’t have to worry about being late at HRC because you will be long gone and may be sitting in a cell down the road. Be careful!
