Job Purpose Responsible for the provision of a safe reliable power supply to all mining plant and, as required other areas of the business. The Electrician 9 DFN will contribute to the achievement of the business objectives by contributing to the delivery of a cost effective maintenance service to the Mine, to ensure system availability and reliability. 2. Production Plan Delivery R Provide support when required regarding production planned delivery, in accordance with internal systems and guidelines, to ensure achievement of production targets. Technical Compliance R Assist with technical compliance issues and requirements within the Mine plan, working within internal systems, to ensure adherence to established technical and operational standards. Contribute as required to the monitoring and reporting of risk policies, procedures, protocols and standards, supporting the Manager Technical Compliance, to ensure the close tracking of audit, risk and compliance information and the production of relevant management information. Maintain company-wide standards and focus on Monitoring and analysis, intelligence gathering and management Reporting of risk and compliance, covering all operational and corporate functions and processes. R Assist in the monitoring and reporting of health and safety policies, procedures, protocols, and standards in the Mine, in line with Hazelwood OHS policies and procedures, to ensure effective compliance with GDF SUEZ Hazelwood’s OHS and Environmental obligations. Covers (but not limited to) security, hazardous materials management, waste management, environment management, behavioural programs, investigations/incident management, emergency management, first aid, and rescue. A relevant trade qualification (‘A’ grade electrical licence) Demonstrated fault finding skills on electrical/electronic systems, applicable to industrial/mining plant. A good knowledge of regulations and safety systems applicable to heavy industry such as Blue Book, Permit Systems, Equipment Testing (PETE), AS3000. A working knowledge of large plant electrical systems, HV and LV power distribution, controls and instrumentation and SCADA.
