Judaism could enrich their lives both
personally and professionally. I knew that
once Judaism became relevant to them,
they would choose to imbue their lives with
Jewish values and traditions.
And so, without funding or infrastructure,
The House was born in 2004. We immediately began offering some of the most
creative and impactful Jewish educational
programming for young adults across
North America.
Are you concerned about the apathy and
assimilation of a whole generation of young
Jewish adults? So was I!
Ten years ago, as a teacher, this reality
confronted me every day. Knowing that
Judaism is incredibly rich in ideas and values,
I dreamed of a generation of young Jews
wanting to discover and experience how
‫אל תקרי בניך אלא בוניך‬
Don't read children, read builders
- Talmud Brachot 64a:
strong vision to inspire a new generation of
young Jewish adults, meeting them where
they are, and giving them what they need to
lead meaningful Jewish lives. A brighter
Jewish future is now within our grasp - a
future where young people choose to make
Judaism an integral part of their lives.
The House would not have reached this
exciting 10-year milestone without the
generous support of those who believed
that dreams can transform into realities.
Today, the core of young leaders inspired by
the Jewish ideas that they were exposed to
at The House, have taken ownership of our
mission. Their commitment to sharing their
inspiration and educating others, clearly
defies those who predict an apathetic
Jewish future.
Thank you for your ongoing support to
achieve our next vision.
As we embark on the next 10 years with now
over 1000 active members, The House has a

but rather a spiritual time that brings
meaning into one's life and home.
Deepening Celebrations, Inspiring
Commitment.
LEND A HAND
Anchored around major Jewish holidays,
these events provide an opportunity for
young adults to appreciate our traditions
with a deeper, more relevant understanding. Each program provides insight into how
to meaningfully integrate Jewish holidays
and their messages into their daily lives.
Unique social action initiatives that inspire
a greater understanding of what is
uniquely Jewish about Tikkun Olam.
Providing meals for the homeless, special
programs for foster children and befriending the elderly are some examples of
experiences that display how one's actions
can be far more than simply good deeds
and can have a true impact on the world.
