Mr. Glascock founded Anbau in 1998 based on the
vision that “good design makes good business”.
He currently oversees acquisitions, finance and
construction for all Anbau projects. He has been
active in real estate development in Manhattan for 25
years. Prior to Anbau, Steve was Senior Development
Officer of Continuum Company. He was responsible
for the development of the 101-unit Richmond
Condominiums, located on Manhattan’s Upper East
Side. He also spent five years as Senior Project Manager
at a New York City-based construction management
company, building over 100 units of subsidized housing
on the Lower East Side.
Ms. van Beuren joined Anbau in 2002. Barbara currently
oversees design, marketing and sales for all of the
company’s projects. Prior to Anbau, she was a Project
Designer at Dagit-Saylor Architects in Philadelphia
before co-founding a New York-based architectural
firm specializing in luxury residential design. During
a four-year hiatus from architecture, Barbara was the
Executive Director of her family’s foundation, the van
Beuren Charitable Foundation, which focuses on land
conservation, land use and historic preservation. She is
currently the Foundation’s President.
Ms. Richards joined the company in 2013, and is
responsible for the raising of debt and equity capital
for the company’s projects. Prior to Anbau, Dru was
a Capital Markets Partner in both the Trammell Crow
Commercial and Residential companies, an investment
banker in the real estate investment banking groups
at Morgan Stanley and Legg Mason, and the founding
partner of TCAP Associates. Most recently, she was
a Managing Director, Equity Capital Markets of GTIS
Partners.
Steve received a Bachelors of Environmental
Design from University of Colorado, Boulder,
an M.Arch from University of Pennsylvania,
and a M.S. in Real Estate Development from
Columbia University. He sits on the Board of
Directors of the International Yacht Restoration
School (IYRS), the Courageous Foundation
and the van Beuren Charitable Foundation in
Newport, R.I., as well as on the Advisory Board
of the Center for Urban Real Estate (CURE)
at Columbia University. Steve has lectured at
numerous organizations, including Columbia’s
Real Estate Development Program and NYU’s
Real Estate Development Program.
Barbara holds a B.A. in History from Tufts
University, an M.Arch from the University of
Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the Stern
School of Business at New York University.
She’s on the PennDesign Board of Overseers
and the Board of Directors of Grow Smart
Rhode Island. Barbara is a licensed architect.
Dru holds a B.A. in Economics from the
University of California and an M.B.A. from the
University of Michigan.

Mr. Egan joined Anbau in 2010. Jim is responsible for
identifying and underwriting development sites for
acquisition as well as risk management. Prior to Anbau,
Jim was the Chief Investment Officer and Executive Vice
President of America First Apartment Investors, a Senior
Vice President of Development for ING Clarion Partners, a
Director at DRA Advisors and a Senior Estimator at Turner
Construction.
Mr. Treacy joined Anbau in 2003, and is responsible
for execution of design and marketing for the
company’s developments. He also acts as Anbau’s
in-house zoning expert. Prior to Anbau, James was
a Project Manager at Solomon Cordwell Buenz and
Legat Architects in Chicago, and a Design Architect
at The Phillips Group in their New York and London
offices.
Mr. Gelbard joined the company in 2011. He is
responsible for the construction of the company’s
developments, to include oversight of the construction
budget, management of the general contractor, quality
conformance to plans and specs, and adherence to
schedule. Previous to Anbau, Austin was a Senior
Project Manager at Tishman Realty & Construction.
Jim holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
and a M.S. in Real Estate Development from
Columbia University.
James holds a B.Arch from the University
of Notre Dame. He is a licensed architect.
Austin holds a B.S. in Engineering from Columbia
University and an M.B.A. from the Stern School
of Business at New York University.
