a. Westmont: Football coach was coach of the year. Marching band came in 7 th in the state
b. Branham: Girls cross country had the highest team GPA of any Fall sport
c. Prospect: Girls cross country went to state and finished 21st. DECA went to state.

i. Next year is slated to be ELA textbook adoption.

1. Note: AP Physics would like books, so a mini-cycle will need to be created.
iii. Review of SAC/CAC process for textbook adoption.

Good news- they came in earlier
Carts will become department-wide carts that are shared by department members.
Principals to work with department chairs to figure out best use/teams.
ii. Principals will provide DO with list of locations for the installation locations for the carts.
Start discussions around how existing carts will transition to sharing.
33 carts are coming, and will be distributed by ratio to the schools. The smallest amount would be five carts for a
school
Hopefully a 4th round will happen in late spring.

Spanish For Spanish Speakers- textbook chosen by WL SAC
i. Note: Next step is to calculate numbers and place orders
ELD has been looking at materials by Edge. Materials are being piloted this year.
Math textbook adoption clarification- Readers are the bridge material until there are better options from the publishers.
i. Comments: Walsh text receives negative feedback from two Daily Math teachers present.
Working with WestEd Equity Center.
iii. WestEd will met with ELD teachers, and will eventually go to the sites. West Ed will use this info to create a
proposal on ways to address our difficulties with ELD and Latino populations
Comments: Having an extra counselor to work with our EL and intervention students has been a huge help! Boynton
would like a dedicated counselor and ANY EMQ services.
