INTRODUCTION/
PURPOSE OF THE CONFERENCE
he Faculty of Engineering and Technology of the
Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH),
Ogbomoso announces her Third International
Conference on Engineering and Technology Research. The
theme of this forthcoming conference is, 'ADVANCING
RESEARCH AND INNOVATION IN ENGINEERING FOR
SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRIALIZATION'. The conference will
serve as a forum for Engineers and Technologists from the
Academia, Industries, Government, Public Sector and
Private Sector to exchange ideas and seek solutions that will
improve the quality of life for developing countries with a
special focus on sustainable industrialization.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
The Conference programme committee hereby
invites submission of abstracts of not more than 400 words
for papers or 250 words for work in progress (WIP) for poster
presentation of original and unpublished research results,
innovations, ideas and proposed solutions in any of the fields
listed below. Abstracts and Papers should be submitted as
electronic mail attachments in Microsoft Word (Word 97 to
2003 document format) to either

PAPER SUBMISSION
TITLE: 14 point upper case, bold & centred over 2 columns
and should contain the following;
AUTHOR(S) INFORMATION: Name(s), Affiliations, Address,
Country, E-mail Address. All these should be in 10 Pts type
size Upper & Lower Case centred under the title
ABSTRACT: The abstract should clearly outline the
contribution of the paper.
KEY WORDS: Maximum of six words, e.g. Mechanization,
Stimulation, Traffic Congestion e.t.c.
1. INTRODUCTION: Clearly explain the nature of the
problem, previous work, purpose, and contribution of the
work.
2. BODY OF PAPER: For the body of the document, use Times
New Roman fonts 10pts, single spaced. The whole

document should be fully justified. Headings should be 12 pt
upper & lower case bold, sub-headings should be 10pts
upper & lower case. Paper size should be A4 (210 by
297mm). Margins are as follows; Top of first page - 3.2 cm,
Bottom, Left & Right - 1.9 cm, Space between two columns 1.25 cm, Full justification, No headers or footers.
2.1 GRAPHS, TABLES & PHOTOGRAPHS: Tables & graphs:
Minimum 8 points size, Minimum Line thickness is 0.13'' or
0.30mm all captions in upper and lower case, bold and
centred over one or two columns of body text. Illustrations &
Photographs: Halftones, Minimum of 8pts type size.
Captions should be in upper & lower case, bold and centred
over 1 or 2 columns of body text. Images must be computer
designed and submitted as embedded images in your
documents (post script, pdf, JPEG or MS Word Format).
Digitized photographs in 256 grayscale are recommended.
Do not submit colour images.
3. CONCLUSION: Clearly indicate advantages, limitations
and possible applications.
4. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: A brief acknowledgement section
may be included between the conclusion and references
(optional).
5. REFERENCES: References should follow the APA format.
Authors are to ensure that every reference cited in the body
of the paper should be listed in the reference section and
vice versa.
Selected papers will be published in a special
edition of an International Journal with impact factor
subject to the requirement of the journal.

other related fields, Service providers and professionals in
the Engineering/Technology and other related fields.
