Badr Al Samaa CME drive for Al Hassan employees’ children feted

NIZWA Badr Al Samaa Nizwa conducted a Continuing
Medical Education (CME)
programme at Dar Al Ezz,
Nizwa, recently attended by
over 120 professionals.
Medical and paramedical
personnel from all over the
Dakhiliyah Region and other
participants were welcomed
by IIango, branch head, Badr
Al Samaa, Nizwa, a press
release said. Dr Damodar
Prabhu, Internal Medicine
Specialist, shed light on a
very rare case of Fibromyalgia Rheumatica. The insight
into this rare condition, its
diagnosis and treatment was
very knowledgeable.
Dr Sanju Joy, Specialist
Paediatrician, spoke about
Experts shed light on various medical conditions.
a once rare neurodevelopmental disorder, Autism,
which he rightly termed
‘a hidden pandemic’. He
stressed the need for an early
diagnosis. The programme
was a delightful learning
experience for all, and a very
responsible step by Badr Al
Samaa group of Hospitals.

launch Zakat campaign
MUSCAT Bank Nizwa has
launched its Ramadan ‘Zakati campaign’ in partnership with the Ministry of
Endowment and Religious
affairs to encourage and
help them to fulil their religious obligations. The fund
will provide for the needy,
a press release said.
Earlier this year the
bank helped the ministry
in in providing an opportunity for customers to
meet their religious obligations by opening a bank
account where customers
can easily transfer Zakat
from their accounts. They
can also deposit cash directly.

MUSCAT As part of its ongoing initiatives towards

Group recently held the
annual ‘Children’s Merit
Award and Talent Appreciation’ programme at its head
ofice in Muscat.
The event is organised to
recognise and award meritorious children of employees
for their performance in academics, a press release said.
During the event the winners of Al Multaqa’s General
Knowledge Quiz (in-house
newsletter) and Dart competition were also awarded.

Ramadan gains momentum
MUSCAT The yearly ‘Donate your Book’ drive by
the Bareeq Al Shatti mall
has begun.
Those having old books
have been invited to drop
them at the book drop boxes
placed in different outlets
of Pizza Hut, Just Grilled,
Lulu- Bousher, Seeb, Darsait,
according to a press release.
The initiative comes from
Bareeq Al Shatti mall where
there is a mega sale for used
books to back the ‘Down
Syndrome parents support
group’, (a part of the Association of Early Intervention
for Children with Special
Needs). The sale started
from the irst day of Ramadandaily from 5 pm to 11pm
at Bareeq Al Shatti Mall.

Health ministry holds
training programme
MUSCAT A Ministry of
Health training programme
under the title “Administrative and Leadership Guidance” concluded recently at
the Directorate General of
Health Services in the northeastern province.
The 5-day programme
was represented by the Department of Training and
Delegations,
DirectorateGeneral for Education and
Training, in collaboration
with Polyglot Institute, a
press release said.
The programme was attended by a number of managers and staff from various
departments of the directorate and was presented
by Abdel Moneim Ibrahim
Abbas, an expert in human
development and head of
Union Trainers of Human
Development in Egypt.
Saeed Shouaibi, head of
training at the Directorate
General of Health Services,
praised the lecturer’s performance and satisfaction
of participants regarding
their beneits of this lecture,
adding that “they will try to
apply these concepts in their
working environment”.
He then extended his
thanks to Polyglot Institute
and to those who participated in the implementation of
this quality programme.

Salmeen Al Habsi, coordinator of medical staff services,
