Driving Progress FACT SHEET Body builder preparation package BP-TI03 Body Builder prep kit Tipper 03 Volvo has developed a tipper preparation package BP-TI03 based on the Volvo FM / FMX 6x4 rigid and 8x4 rigid trucks. The solution is up to Volvo’s high quality standards. Other engine hydrualic pumps are available as well. Straight cut on rear frame end: Frame rails have a straight cut at the rear end of the frame (RFEC-S). As an option tipper tapering of rear frame end (RFEC-U) can be ordered. Hole preparation in rear end of frame: Seven holes are added in upper row of each rear frame rail end. Hole diameter 15.5 mm, hole spacing 50 mm. The first hole is located 485 mm from rear frame end and last hole 185 mm from rear frame end. S93400 is standard. The consoles are mounted on frame rails. Body attachments, upper part, bolts, springs, nuts by-packed in cab S93097 (6x4), S93098 (8x4). Mudguards on second front axle: Mudguards for wheels on second front axle (FFEND-B) when ordering 8x4 models. Tipper control handle, pipes to superstructure: The cab is prepared with four pneumatic 6 mm plastic pipes controlling: Feed air / Tip up / Tip down / Evacuation air. The first three pipes are delivered rolled up on the chassis, the fourth has its outlet through the pedal plate to the cab front (S93738). As an option the tipper handle (left hand side of the driver seat) and the above described piping can be ordered (S93734). Body attachments Preparation of Tipper body symbol function: Preparation for tipper body symbol to be shown in driver information display when body is not in position. The preparation kit includes a wiring harness with a round 4-pin waterproof chassis DIN connector. The wiring harness has approx. 3 m over length and is strapped in left frame rail behind gearbox. See also PCA30095. Body not in position warning preparation: Body not in position warning preparation includes a wiring harness with a round 4-pin waterproof chassis DIN connector. The wiring harness has approx. 3 m over length and is strapped in left frame rail behind gearbox (PCA30095). Side underrun protection: Trucks with chassis height High are equipped with SUP-BAS via PCA70055. Trucks with chassis height X-high are equipped with SUP-LOW via PCA70056. Side underrun protection Foot steps Foot steps: Two anti-slip foot steps on side underrun protection at battery box. The steps are slidable along the aluminium bars for a perfect position. Tail lamp protection box: Tail lamp protection box in stainless steel (S93402). The box protects the tail lamps on two sides, top and back.
