PRIME TIME Summer Journey 2014 Summer Journey (SJ) offers a wide variety of engaging and entertaining activities, events, and field trips in a safe, secure, and supportive environment. Programming runs Monday, June 2, through Friday, August 8, and is scheduled to occur at seven sites—Chapel Lakes, Daniel Young, Franklin Smith, Lucy Franklin, Thomas Ultican, William Bryant, and William Yates. Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. SJ will be closed July 4 and August 11, 12, and 13. After April 1, registration may be made directly through the site lead of the desired location. A non-refundable $150 registration fee is required per attendee payable by check or money order to Prime Time. The last day for registration is Friday, June 20. Exiting 5th graders should be registered at the site of parent preference for attendance after summer school has ended (see Summer School below). *Regular school year families are given priority enrollment status. Families enrolling for other than full-term service (i.e., June-August) are placed on a waiting list and may have to attend at an alternate location. Lunch A sack lunch and drink are required each day unless communicated otherwise on the monthly activity calendar. Summer School The Pre-K to 4th grade summer school program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, June 2, through Thursday, June 26. While summer school is in session, exiting 5th graders must attend at Chapel Lakes, Daniel Young, Lucy Franklin, or Thomas Ultican and will be transported daily by district bus to and from Moreland Ridge MS for class from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. After the summer school session ends, they will return to the parent preferred location (see site lead for details). Field Trips Attendees are allowed to bring a small amount of spending money for specified field trips. Details are highlighted in the Field Trip Calendar handout that will be provided by the SJ site leads. Grade Levels SJ serves Pre-K through exiting 5th grade level students. T-Shirts Two (2) T-shirts are provided per registration fee. T-shirts should be worn daily unless site lead directed. Extra T-shirts are available for $7.50 Payment Guidelines Tuition payments are due the first day of scheduled program service each week. Late fees of $5.00 per week will be applied to delinquent accounts. Rates are reduced the first four weeks due to summer school, for families with more than one attendee, and for part-time participation.
