“I am so thankful [to] CHAF for opening the door for me to be in
my own home, and sober. I ended up on the streets from neglect
of responsibility and addiction for 25 years. Now (CHAF) has
taught me how to be responsible and accountable.” | chaf client
Join us for an evening of live piano jazz, hors
d’oeuvres, storytelling, networking, and working
together to end and prevent homelessness…
CHAF is a community coalition working together to
break the cycle of homelessness. CHAF funds provide
a bridge to housing for homeless individuals, and a
safety net to prevent homelessness for families
facing eviction. Since its inception in 1999,
CHAF has raised more than $1.9 million, enough to
open doors for more than 1,700 households.
Did you know? It costs CHAF, on average, $730 to
prevent a family from losing their home. It costs the
state of Massachusetts approximately $30,000 per
year to provide emergency shelter to that same family.
