The objective of this work was to „Begin the development of code to allow for source
inversion, i.e. provide of a MOZART based reactive gas kernel algorithm for emission rate
correction by variational inversion“ (DoW).
The code of a Kinetic PreProcessor (KPP) box model with forward and adjoint solvers has
been submitted to FZJ and ECMWF on June 11, 2014 (kppbox.tar.gz). After unpacking, two
directories with kppbox_adjoint and kppbox_forward are created which contain the
source code of the box model and a Makefile as well as some test results.
Runtime tests were performed which yielded the following results:
