Sealed competitive tenders superscribing “Tender for
Double Fold Calendar Rimming for the Government of
Kerala Calendar 2015” are invited so as to reach the
undersigned on or before 1 p.m. on 25-9-2014. Tender will
be opened at 3 p.m. on the same day in the presence of
tenderers or their authorized representatives who may be
present at that time.
Tenders shall be submitted in the prescribed form
which can be had from the office of the undersigned on
cash payment of `` 1,500 +VAT for original and ` 800+
VAT for duplicate. Neither Cheque, Demand Draft,
Postage Stamps, Postal Orders etc. towards the cost of
tender forms will be accepted nor tender forms will be
sent by V.P.P. The tender forms are not transferable. If the
date of opening of tender forms happens to be a holiday,
the same will be opened on the succeeding first working
day. An agreement in Kera1a Stamp Paper worth ` 100 and
Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) thereof @ 1% of the total
amount quoted should be executed and forward along
with the tenders. The Earnest Money Deposit should be
remitted by Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Director
of Printing for the due fulfillment of the contract. The
contractment will not be responsible for tapal delay if any.

The work includes Rimming of Government Calendar
of Six sheets in each with metal rim of length 16½” and
thickness 0.11” and providing necessary hanging cords
of length and hole for cord. The metal rim should be
plain in colour and corrosion resistant for atleast a period
of one year. Approximate number of Government Calendar
rimming is about Four Lakhs which may vary according to
necessity and requirement. The work should be completed
within 15 days from the date of receipt of the work order.
The work will have to be carried out in Government
Presses at Thiruvananthapuram, Mannanthala, Ernakulam,
Vazhoor or any other Government Presses in Kerala that
the department may decide and work should be carried
out simultaneously in that presses.
Sample piece of rims and cord should be forwarded
along with the tender and the rate quoted should be for
the rimming 1000 Nos. The rate quoted should be
inclusive of all taxes, duties and charges and should
remain firm for acceptance till 31-3-20l5. The specimen and
all details regarding the tin piece and cord to be used
should be clearly specified in the tender.
Calendar will be supplied for rimming pasted with
gum/adhesive or wire stitching. Payment will be made after
satisfactory completion of the work.

Late tenders and tenders not accompanied by
Earnest Money Deposit, Preliminary agreement in KeraIa
Stamp Paper and samples will not be accepted on any
account. All Government Rules in force relating to the
purchase of tenders will be applicable in this case also.
