greatly simplifies your workflow by providing an easy-to-use GL interface with your
Advent portfolio accounting solution, which
increases efficiency, improves accuracy and
eliminates duplicate data entry. The flexible
mapping available in Advent GLX supports
any chart of accounts, from the straightforward to the most complex, making manual
errors a thing of the past.

details about your specific GL accounts

❯ Translate portfolio data, transactions, and
unrealized gains and losses in Advent’s

A Unified Solution
With Advent GLX, your portfolio transactions
—including daily buy/sell, interest, and
dividend transactions, unrealized gains and
losses, and accrued interest—are automatically translated into journal entries for input
into your GL system. In addition to eliminating duplicate data entry, Advent GLX

Designed with Flexibility in Mind
Advent GLX was designed with the flexibility to handle complex charts of accounts
and legal entity structures. Using a tabledriven approach, Advent GLX’s interface
lets you map portfolios to different ledgers.
For example, you can assign portfolios 1,
12, 27, and 52 to Hedge Fund A and portfolios 2, 5, 8, 33, 59 to Mutual Fund B.
You can also map different security types
(for example, common stocks, government
bonds, or mutual funds), both long and
short, to the same GL account or to different GL accounts. In addition, the account
schema in GLX can be built to create journal
entries that track the change in market
value per period or as of a particular date.
And depending on how you choose to
update your GL, a compression rule makes it
possible to export a small number of summary ledger entries by date, month, or other
period while still having access to the detail.

store foreign exchange rates from APX for
true multi-currency accounting and consistency of data between your portfolio management and general ledger systems.

GLX is built on the .NET framework with a
flexible user interface. It also includes two
essential reports that enable you to
enhance the information you provide to
clients while giving you greater insight and
control.
